The League is offering a campaign finance training for municipal candidates, committee chairman and treasurers.
The training will provide an overview of how state campaign finance law applies to municipal elections, including general filing requirements and reporting deadlines and address frequently asked questions about reporting of contributions and expenses, treasurer responsibilities, committee termination requirements, and the laws involving campaign signs and advertising.
The training is directed towards municipal candidates and will not address federal campaign finance laws.

Christina Estes-Werther – Of Counsel, Pierce Coleman, PLLC
Christina Estes-Werther is Of Counsel at Pierce Coleman, PLLC and is a municipal attorney serving various cities and towns in Arizona. Previously she served as General Counsel to the League of Arizona Cities and Towns for six years and prior to working at the League, she was the State Election Director in 2013 and administered the 2014 statewide election. She has been a licensed attorney for 15 years and has also worked as a Research Analyst at the State Senate and Deputy General Counsel for the Governor’s Office.
She has been a Certified Election Officer since 2007, has worked multiple elections as an election troubleshooter for Maricopa County, and conducts trainings to local governments on election issues, open meeting law, public records, and ethics. Christina graduated from the University of Arizona with a bachelor’s degree in Family Studies and Human Development and earned her J.D. from Gonzaga University School of Law in Spokane, Washington.
