2022 At the Capitol

The 2022 legislative session has begun. The second regular session of Arizona’s 55th Legislature commenced on January 10, 2022.

Throughout the session, the League offers a full suite of services and publications to help Arizona cities and towns communicate more effectively with their legislative delegation and monitor issues that affect Arizona communities.

2022 League Calendars, Legislative Posters and Local Government Directories

The 2022 Local Government Directory, Legislative Poster and Wall Calendar are now available. Complimentary copies of the annual directory, posters and calendars have been mailed to all cities and towns.

We All Serve – ESGR is a resource for our Citizen Soldiers and those who employ them

Well before we were a nation, colonists worked together to protect their communities from natural disasters, bandits, and other threats.

The legacy of those first “citizen soldiers” continues today in the National Guard and military Reserve forces. It’s also a strategy that remains critical to our national defense.

National Civic League – Model City Charter

The need to enhance civic engagement and equity is the most significant change to be found in the Ninth Edition of the Model City Charter. The new edition elevates the importance of just, inclusive, and equitable public engagement, community-centered governance and problem solving and the intentional application of an equity lens to all provisions.
